• <H3> GAME was the result of two men who were already working with youth teaming up. Myron Leffall was encouraged to expand the concepts he had employed when working with City League basketball teams. Over 90% of his former team graduated high school and went on to college. He wanted to apply the lessons he had learned as administrator of Koinonia Educational Center, to the youth of the High Point Community Center in the form of a academic program. Meanwhile George Houston operated a tutoring program for youth at the same center. When he became aware of the vision that Mr. Leffall had for working with the youth, he decided that Mr. Leffall’s vision was broad enough to include his own plans. The program initially operated at the High Point Community Center and grew to include meetings at other centers in West Seattle. The relationship that was developed continues. GAME continues to work with schools, community centers, churches and social service programs to provide life skills, Anger Replacement Training (ART), tutoring, mentoring, job shadowing and motivational speaking.

• <H3> This year GAME is honored to be able to participate in Seattle Foundation’s seventh annual GiveBIG to be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017. For years GAME has labored to provide services to youth in South and Southwest Seattle and elsewhere. GAME is thankful and hopeful that through your support and the potential for increased revenue we will be even more engaged in making a difference in the lives of the youth at South Lake, Rainier Beach, Skyway and and elsewhere throughout the community.
